Lamps Shades n Things provides professional services on lampshade recovery, custom lampshade, vintage lamp restoration, etc. with over three decades of service experience.
Lampshade recovery is the process of replacing the outside fabric and/or lining of a lampshade. This is typically done when the outside fabric is damaged or stained, or when the inside lining is torn or discolored from heat and/or aging. Recovery can also be used to update the look of a lampshade by changing the fabric or trim.
Lampshade refurbishing is a more extensive process that involves repairing or replacing any damaged parts of the lampshade, such as the frame, the finial, or the cord. Refurbishing can also include cleaning and polishing the lampshade to restore its original appearance.
In general, recovery is a less expensive option than refurbishing. However, refurbishing may be necessary if the lampshade is severely damaged.
Also please note every job is different and labor-intensive. For accurate quote, please call and discuss the project with Amy Hahn at 847-358-1122 or text at 847-858-7554.
